Francisco Menendez Funeral & Celebration of Life March 20 & 21

Please join UNLV Film and the College of Fine Arts as we remember and celebrate the memory of film professor ans artistic director, Francisco Menendez.

Funeral (all are welcome) - Wednesday, March 20, 2024

  • 1 p.m. - Gathering of Friends
  • 2 p.m. - Service
  • 3 p.m. - Walk to Burial Site (which is nearby)

Davis Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89119

(Parking is available in a lot in front of the main building.)

Francisco's friend Markus Lofstrom has created a "Forever Missed" page where we can share photos, videos, and stories in advance of the funeral

  • 7 - 9:45 p.m. - Main Event

(Directions: Type "FDH Las Vegas" into Google Maps for precise location of Flora Dungan Humanities Building; park in front and go through the main doors into the lobby for the reception.)

The Department of Film has created a Google Drive for everyone to upload material for the Celebration of Life. The drive is public, accessible to all, and editable by anyone with the link. If you choose to upload material, once you open the link, please create a folder with your name on it by clicking on the tiny triangle to the right of the "Memories of Francisco :)" title and then "New folder." Put everything you upload in the folder with your name on it. This material will be used to create a special tribute for Francisco's Celebration of Life, edited by Hunter Hopewell.
