UNLV faculty and staff are invited to submit proposals for presentation at the Coalition of Urban and Metropolitan Universities (CUMU) Annual Conference, taking place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 20-23.
Proposals should align with the following intersecting tracks and illuminate how UNLV and its partnerships are redefining what is possible when we reach beyond boundaries.

- Belonging, equity, and justice
- Democracy
- Impact
- K-16 partnerships
- Social and economic mobility
The CUMU conference offers a range of formats that afford participants different methods to access and engage with innovative ideas.
Traditional sessions allow for in-depth conversations.
- Community conversations
- Mini workshop
- Panel presentation
- Research and impact presentation
Dynamic sessions allow for presenters to share their work with larger groups of people in a more intimate, conversational setting.
- Poster sessions
- Roundtables
Pre-Conference Workshops target specific audiences for interactive skill development and collaborative learning.
