For decades, Walker Furniture has been committed to the Southern Nevada community, and they currently they have partnered with the well-being program at UNLV’S School of Medicine.

About 7,000 young people have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in Nevada. While there is no cure, research shows Applied Behavior Analysis can help. But in the Silver State, there are less than 300 specialists certified to provide that type of one-on–one work.

Recent CREW Disability Center Accomplishments

Breanne D. Yerkes, Christina M. Vanden Bosch der Nederlanden, Julie F. Beasley, Erin E. Hannon, and Joel S. Snyder published a paper titled, "Acoustic and Semantic Processing of Auditory Scenes in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders," in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. This work was based on Yerkes' Ph.D. dissertation.…
Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders announces a partnership with the University of Nevada School of Medicine. The purpose of the partnership is to bring more services to autistic children at a two-story center across from UNLV's main campus. The partnership received kudos from some of the local media.
