Jayce L. Farmer and Andres J. Rodriguez Lombeida (Public Policy and Leadership) published an article, “How State Interventions affect Municipalities Taking the Lead in Sustainability,” in Sustainability.

This article examines how state governments affect municipal government efforts to promote energy efficiency within their internal operations. Among other things, the authors found that greater state-level investments in energy programs encourage local government officials to enhance their efforts to pursue energy sustainability within their city business processes.
