University Identity

University/State Seal

The university seal is reserved for official use, like communications from the Office of the President, ceremonial occasions like Commencement, and formal documents like diplomas and certificates.

Because of its strong resemblance to other seals used in Nevada, it is not a distinctive graphic identifier and should never be used in place of the UNLV logo. When the university seal is appropriately printed on official documents like diplomas, it should not appear with any ornamentation or alterations. Reserving the use of the seal for these official purposes reinforces the importance of the seal.
