Career Opportunities

Our graduates have gone on to work in a broad range of industries and national labs, in addition to filing their own patents. M.S. graduates have also enrolled in some of the top Ph.D. programs or continued their studies at UNLV.

Faculty and Facilities

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering employs nearly 20 experienced faculty members, many of whom have active research programs funded externally through various sources. Several are also IEEE Fellows.

We have a wide array of high-technology computer and research facilities.

Research Centers include:

  • Center for Information Technology and Algorithms (CITA)
  • Energy Material Interaction Technology Initiative of Nevada (EMITION) Center
  • Nevada Nanotechnology Center
  • Transportation Research Center

Research labs include:

  • Digital Design
  • Electromagnetics and Pulsed Power
  • UAV

Some of our research facilities are housed in the Science and Engineering Building (SEB) which creates a unique environment for interdisciplinary work on the UNLV campus.
