The UNLV School of Dental Medicine Research Committee comprises faculty from the dental school as well as research collaborators from other schools and colleges at UNLV, and students from the four Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry classes. The Research Committee counsels and supports dental students, graduate students, residents, and faculty participating in research in basic sciences, clinical/translational sciences, and behavioral sciences.

The Research Committee works with the Office of Research to mentor new and ongoing research efforts at the school. The committee also serves as a peer advocate and research facilitator for oral, dental, and craniofacial research at UNLV.
