Before You Get Started

  1. You will need a category 5e or greater Ethernet (patch) cable. Plug the cable into your console’s Ethernet port and into the correct wall jack.
  2. You will need the wired (LAN) MAC address from your console. Please consult the sections below on how to find your console’s MAC address.

Checking Your Current Ethernet Settings

The following directions will show you how to obtain your MAC address, which you will need to enroll your device.

Xbox

  1. Turn on your Xbox with no disk in the tray.
  2. From the Xbox Dashboard, choose Xbox Live.
  3. Navigate to the Connection Status Screen.
  4. Select Settings.
  5. The 12-digit number in the bottom right hand corner of the Network Settings Screen is your MAC Address.
  6. You will see your MAC Address listed. Be sure to write down the entire string of letters and numbers, including the colons ":" in between.

Xbox 360

  1. Go to the System area of the Xbox Dashboard and select Network Settings.
  2. Select configure network.
  3. From Additional Settings, select Advanced Settings.
  4. At the bottom of this screen you will see a heading called Wired MAC Address.
  5. You will see your MAC address listed. Be sure to write down the entire string of letters and numbers, including the colons ":" in between.

Xbox One

  1. If you are signed into a profile, go to My Games & Apps and Settings. If you are not signed into a profile, just go to Settings.
  2. Select Network then Advanced Settings.
  3. At the bottom of this screen you will see headings for Wired MAC and wireless MAC. We will be using the Wired MAC.
  4. Be sure to write down the entire string of letters and numbers, including the colons ":" in between.

Register your Device

  1. Using a computer go to the device enrollment website.
  2. On the enrollment page, enter your ACE password, check box "I accept the acceptable use policy".
  3. Enter in the MAC address of your Xbox; select "Microsoft Gaming Device" as device type.
  4. Valid email address, mobile number and service provider are optional fields.
  5. Click Enroll Device.
  6. Once your device is enrolled, reboot your gaming device. Your gaming device should now be online.
