Sam is originally from Lake Havasu, AZ but has lived in Las Vegas since 2010. He earned a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry master's degree in Instructional Design. Sam has been working in higher education since 2012. He started helping students with their academic success in the tutoring center before moving into advising. His passion is helping students learn and be successful by utilizing advising as a teaching approach. One of his favorite quotes is, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.
