Biography

Nicolle Peterson is a second-year graduate student working toward her MFA in writing for dramatic media. Born and raised in Washington State, she graduated from a small high school in Sumner, WA in 2013, and then went on to receive a B.A. in fine arts from Washington State University in 2017. Following graduation, she moved to Las Vegas for some additional undergraduate coursework. Her interest in screenwriting began when she took Intro to Screenwriting with Professor May May Luong. In 2020, she applied to the graduate program and for a graduate assistantship under Sean Clark where her passion for screenwriting grew stronger. She continues to work hard to be a better storyteller and writer. Her favorite genres are horror and thrillers. Her dream is to grow as a writer and director. Also, her dog is named Clark Nicholas Griswoof (like Clark Griswold from "Christmas Vacation"). Lastly, she advises screenwriters, “Don’t end a scene on dialogue” because the scene will fall flat and it’s a missed opportunity for further character development.
