Melissa Salas is originally from Los Angeles, California and moved to Las Vegas in March 2020. When she is not working, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer, listening to music, and venturing to new food places. As a first-generation college graduate, Melissa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB).  As an undergraduate student Melissa coached Junior Varsity and Varsity Girls’ Soccer at a high school and served as a peer mentor for her university. She began her advising career in 2017 and has formerly worked at California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) and Nevada State College (NSC). Melissa has been with the DHS Advising Center since May 2022 and is enthusiastic about empowering students to their graduation goals. She is looking forward to meeting with you!
