Lori Ciccone serves in the role of Assistant Vice President for the Office of Sponsored Programs. Her career spans years of active leadership and research administration supporting the Las Vegas community through non-profit and higher education. Lori earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and attended graduate school in California earning her MBA.

Prior to working for the Nevada System of Higher Education, Lori has worked in fundraising, destination management event planning, and grant writing for community-based non-profits focused on early education. Lori has a passion for education and continues to work in P-16 education and outreach and continues to support research, public service, instruction, and other sponsored activities. During her career, she has successfully written numerous grant initiatives resulting in millions of dollars in funding for Nevada.

She is a Certified Research Administrator and has her Practice of Research Administration and Management Program certificate. She is a member of the Intermountain University Research Administrators, the Society of Research Administrators International, and the National Council of University Research Administrators. Research administration is a change agent and we all play a role in the success, continue to empower each other, be kind, and watch us change the world.
