David Sakala, director of the continuing medical education (CME) program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, spent nine years administering the CME program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine prior to joining the school of medicine at UNLV.

At the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, Sakala will be responsible for leading the efforts to achieve and maintain CME accreditation, coordinating and facilitating impactful and innovative CME learning opportunities while also building a sustainable revenue pipeline to drive program development and growth.

Sakala holds master’s degrees in business administration (MBA) and urban planning and policy (MUPP) from the University of Illinois.
