After growing up in Washington State, April relocated to Las Vegas in 2017. She is a first-generation graduate who earned her bachelor of science degree in secondary education (English) from UNLV in 2022 and serves alongside the same advising community that guided her throughout her undergraduate years. She is planning to pursue a master's in curriculum and instruction in the future and self-defines as a lifelong learner who might never stop going to school. She is extremely passionate about K-12 education and serving others and shares that joy and love with the college's students. In her free time, you'll catch April trying new food, thrift store hopping, traveling, reading all the books, or hanging out with her dog, whom she considers her best friend. April believes that you should spread light, positivity, and kindness like butter; there's never a good reason not to dance.
