Description

In honor of Nutrition Month, volunteer with UNLVolunteers and Basic Needs by helping prep groceries to give to the UNLV Food Pantry. The UNLV Food Pantry is a year-round resource that provides perishable and non-perishable food items to students, staff, and faculty who need additional support.

Volunteers will be asked to help assist with sorting grocery donations from the Clean Cuisine project and learn more about the services of the UNLV Food Pantry. Volunteers will also have the chance to partake in a fun "can castle competition" towards the beginning of the event, where groups will get the chance to build fun can castles from the donated products. Winning group will receive a prize from Basic Needs. Donations for the Clean Cuisine Project will be accepted up until the start of the can castle event. If interested in donating, contact serve@unlv.edu for more details on accepted donations and where to drop off donations.

Free food will also be provided by Buldogis (first come, first serve). If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about this event, please contact us at serve@unlv.edu. We hope to see you there!
