Noah Azlan - Director of Marketing at AEG Presents, Las Vegas

In his capacity as the Director of Marketing, Noah Azlan orchestrates and oversees the entire spectrum of marketing initiatives encompassing AEG Presents' concerts and events at some of the highest-grossing venues and shows in the world, including Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, and Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas.

He prides himself on collaboration efforts with venue management, artist representation, and diverse stakeholders, including ticketing, analytics, and, of course, the city of Las Vegas, to ensure the success of each project.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Noah Azlan strives to bridge the divide between his industry and the world around him. His efforts, alongside the efforts of his teams and various international organizations, have propelled rehabilitation in areas struck by natural disasters, increased women's accessibility to vote in Pakistan, and raised money for local LGBTQ+ organizations.

Michael Bos - Technical Project Manager, Switch

Michael Bos works as a Technical Project Manager at Switch and has a background in software engineering. He is a technical leader and is involved in strategic planning and executing strategic initiatives.

Before working for Switch, Michael served six years in the United States Navy as an intelligence specialist attached to the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. He completed four overseas deployments and was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate from Florida State University. Apart from work and school, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and son, hiking, and climbing in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Abbey Burger, DO, FACOG – Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist, Medtronic

A native of Minnesota who received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, Dr. Burger is a West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine graduate. She completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Dr. Burger is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the 2019 and 2021 National Faculty Award recipient. She has published articles in Obstetrics and Gynecology journals and presented at national and international meetings.

Before joining Medtronic, Dr. Burger was an assistant professor at Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She also worked with Billings Clinic in Miles City, Montana. 

Dr. Burger has transitioned from clinical practice to providing medical device FDA and international regulatory oversight as a senior regulatory affairs specialist with Medtronic.

Adam Calig – Area Manager. Expedia Group

Adam Calig grew up in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Las Vegas in 2005 to attend UNLV’s William F. Harrah School of Hospitality. Adam was originally looking for a career in the restaurant business, through the years he has expanded his knowledge of the hospitality industry, working in food and beverage, banquets, hotel operations, and sales, and marketing. Currently, Adam works for Expedia Group, promoting travel to Las Vegas and other key gaming markets. Travel and Hospitality are his chosen profession, as well as his passion, and he believes wholeheartedly in the good it can bring.

This program has been tremendously eye opening for Adam. It has pushed him to think differently about business, as well as his own values and what matters most in his professional and personal life. He values the friendships he’s created in Cohort 19 the last two years. To Adam, these relationships are the backbone of the program. After graduation, Adam plans to take time for himself and his loved ones, and prioritizing the next chapters in his life.

Monica Chairez - Experience Creator

Monica Chairez is native to Las Vegas and earned the Kenny Guinn Millennium Scholarship to attend UNLV. She graduated from the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies.

Monica has produced hundreds of experiences globally and virtually ranging from the Vanity Fair Oscar party to the largest EDM festival in North America with 500,000 attendees. On March 29, 2019, she organized over 70 advocates from across the state of Nevada in Carson City for the legislature's first-ever Recovery Advocacy Day. Her advocacy efforts assisted in the passing of Assembly Bill 367 which changed the language in the Nevada Revised Statute and Nevada Administration Code to refer to those afflicted with addictive disorders in a respectful manner.

Monica is the service committee chair and ward missionary for her church. She is a Grad Rebel Advantage Mentor for the UNLV Graduate College and is the recipient of the Graduate College Generation Scholarship. 

When she isn’t serving others she enjoys fitness, fashion, food, and her Dalmatian-Freckles.

Janet Cristobal - Business Manager for Office of Online Education, University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Born and raised in the Philippines, Janet left behind a budding career in business and migrated to the United States in late 2000 to join her husband. Her first job in the US was at the Sam’s Club cash office as an accounting associate. After that, she joined UNLV in 2005, where she held progressive accounting positions at different campus departments. She is currently the business manager for the Office of Online Education within the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education at UNLV.

Janet earned her bachelor’s degree in commerce, majoring in accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She is also a certified program planner through the Learning Resource Network (LERN) Program Management Institute. Even with her extensive professional experience from working in both corporate and higher education settings, Janet is convinced that the opportunities for advancement are limited without a higher degree. She further believes that joining and completing the UNLV Executive MBA program will push her career to the next level. Despite her hectic schedule, Janet finds time to spend with her family, cook, and teach herself how to sew.

Adina d’Almeida - Vice President in Business Banking, Chase Bank

Adina d’Almeida is a vice president in business banking for Chase Bank. She started her career in hospitality with MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. At the time, she was attending college and decided that she wanted to get into the finance industry. She moved into banking and started as a teller with Washington Mutual Bank and gained experience on the operations side, working her way up to an assistant manager. She then moved into a sales role as a personal banker when Washington Mutual was bought out by Chase Bank. Her sales role led her into business banking and now her current role as a Sr Business Relationship Manager. She helps business clients with daily banking needs, complex treasury management services, and commercial lending. She specializes in owner-occupied commercial real estate and construction lending. Adina received her undergraduate degree in Finance from UNLV.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, trying new foods, and spending time with her family. She has a five-year-old daughter and hopes to one day take her daughter to see the Seven Wonders of the World. So far they have been to one.

Meghan Fitzgibbons - BSN, RN, CCRN-CMC – Cardiac Services Quality Coordinator, MountainView Hospital

Meg's experience as a critical care nurse in some of the nation's top hospitals prepared her for her current role as the Quality Coordinator for Cardiac Services at MountainView Hospital. In this role, she oversees the data management for the interventional cardiology, structural heart, and cardiac surgery programs and is a leader in instituting process improvements to ensure MountainView Hospital's cardiac patients have the highest quality outcomes.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Meg is a newer addition to Las Vegas after moving here in 2018. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts Boston with her bachelor’s degree in nursing, she transitioned into working in surgical recovery at Boston Medical Center. From there she moved into adult intensive care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and has worked extensively in various specialty critical care units. She is certified in adult critical care nursing and has a subspecialty certification in cardiac critical care.

One of her passions is education, and she enjoys teaching and mentoring staff and students. She is looking forward to using the knowledge, skills, and relationships she gained in the Executive MBA program to continue to lead education and process improvement programs in healthcare.

Outside of the hospital, Meg enjoys hiking, yoga, traveling, and spending time at the beach on Cape Cod with her family.

Steven Junior - Project Manager, Arcata Associates

Steven Junior is an Air Force veteran and a project manager for Arcata Associates, a defense contractor, based in Las Vegas. His role at Arcata supports their mission of enabling human achievement and customer success by delivering superior management, engineering, operations and maintenance, multimedia, and information technology services for the US Air Force and Navy. Steven directly supports the development and testing of new and refined aircraft and weapons systems, as well as the operations and maintenance of integrated test and training environments, where tactics are developed and pilots are trained to successfully use the equipment in battle.

Steven received his bachelor’s degree, in Information Technology, from the University of Phoenix in 2010. He is a second-generation Las Vegas native and is very passionate about the city. Family is his highest priority, and in his free time, he enjoys traveling abroad, cooking, snowboarding, and trying new restaurants around the city. His favorite quote comes from the great philosopher Monica Chairez, “We can only keep what we have by giving it away.”

Dave Kaminkow - Senior Portfolio Manager, Gimmie Games at Aristocrat Gaming

Dave Kaminkow is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Game Designer for Gimmie Games at Aristocrat Gaming based in Las Vegas. Dave curates the game design process for Gimmie Games working on games such as the NFL, Crazy Rich Asians, Bao Zhu Zhao Fu and many other notable titles. Prior to his position at Gimmie Games, Dave was the Global Brand Manager for one of Aristocrat’s most successful brands, Buffalo. In addition to managing the Buffalo brand, Dave helped lead the D&D Global Games Product Management Team, while managing the portfolio for Aristocrat’s single largest revenue stream, the Gaming Ops portfolio. Dave was also one of the product owners for Aristocrat’s successful bar top and multigame segment, Winner’s World.

Dave has an extensive background in pinball, video games, slot machines, and the gaming and gambling industry. He was seeking his Executive MBA to make himself and his skill set as valuable as possible.

In his spare time, Dave loves to watch and play sports, especially soccer, with his two boys, Brady and Julian. He also loves to spend time with his beautiful and loving wife, Courtney and play with his dog, Winston. Dave loves cars, football, baseball, hockey, weight lifting and Gumballing.

April Luna - Marketing and Business Development Professional

Previously, April was the director of marketing and sponsorships at The Viticus Group, a medical education organization in Las Vegas that provides hands-on continuing education for surgeons and veterinarians. In this role, she oversaw a high performing team that managed multimillion-dollar projects, built sponsor relationships with major pharmaceutical companies, developed marketing strategies to promote and fill courses, and organized an annual conference with 16,000+ attendees.

April also has more than a decade of experience in the hospitality and gaming industry at MGM Resorts International. In her position as director of brand marketing at The Mirage, she launched more than 13 restaurants, six resident entertainment shows, announced the births of multiple dolphins and tigers at Secret Garden Dolphin Habitat, and oversaw anything with The Mirage logo on it from cocktail napkins to major branding campaigns. During her time at MGM Resorts with more than 86,000 employees, she learned extremely valuable skill sets, including the ability to effectively collaborate alongside internal and external partners to reach business goals.

A graduate of UNLV holding a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications with a minor in Entertainment Management, April prides herself on her fast-thinking servant leadership style and believes her “whatever it takes” attitude continues to open many doors for her career. She took on the Executive MBA program because she thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves to conquer a good challenge.

In her free time, April enjoys traveling the world with her husband, Michael, doing yoga, weightlifting, and fitness classes, cuddling up with a cup of tea and a good book, and trying new restaurants.

Franchesta Marbury - Area Director of Sales & Marketing, Kindred Hospitals | Entrepreneur

Originally from California, Franchesta relocated to Las Vegas in 1996. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from California State University, East Bay, and a second degree in Psychology from UNLV. Upon graduating, Franchesta started a career in pharmaceutical sales. Working with several companies in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 22 years, Franchesta transitioned into a hospital leadership position and plans to work towards a Chief Operation Officer position.

Franchesta’s love of business and entrepreneurship inspired her to open several Massage Envy franchise locations, and she has now been with the brand for 16 years. Health and wellness have always been a passion, so when an opportunity presented itself to help the aging population increase strength through physical therapy, Franchesta formed a new entity with a partner. Upon the sale of their physical therapy locations, Franchesta desired to further her education and management skills by joining the UNLV Executive MBA program. Joining the UNLV Executive MBA and the learnings from a Managerial Accounting project inspired Franchesta and another EMBA classmate to open their first boba tea shop called Teaspoon August 2022.

Franchesta is a mother to four children Marcus, Naomi, Madison, and Sydney. She loves spending time with her spouse Jason of 14 years. In her spare time she enjoys international trade and procurement, traveling, and Crossfit.

Steven Mash - Attorney

Steven Mash is a former English attorney who moved to Las Vegas to study at UNLV. Having practiced banking and finance litigation for 25 years in London and internationally, Steven decided (while walking his dog) that there had to be a lot more to life than being a partner in a legal practice. Soon after, he resigned from the partnership, applied to UNLV, and was delighted to be accepted into the Executive MBA program.

Steven has, for the first time in his career, no structure or goals as to where the EMBA will take him. He is determined therefore to make the most of every moment he has at UNLV, embrace the course and his cohort, and hopes to bring strategic oversight and attention to detail which have been the watchwords of his career to date into the business arena. At the very least, he knows that his English accent will forevermore fascinate and/or confuse his class members.

Chasen McCormick - Chief Programs Officer, Blind Center of Nevada

Chasen McCormick is a native to Las Vegas and currently the Chief Programs Officer at the local charity "Blind Center of Nevada." His role is to implement and enhance programs to help change the lives of those that are visually impaired in Las Vegas. Chase enjoys the large responsibilities this position gives him, problem-solving daily issues, while also helping people change their lives. He is a graduate of Utah Valley University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management. As a lifelong Runnin’ Rebel fan, Chase concedes that earning an Executive MBA at UNLV is the next best thing to playing for the Rebs, still allowing him to fulfill his dreams.

Chase and his wife, Haley, who have known each other since they were ten and eight years old, have four children of their own together. In his free time, he enjoys taking his family on Jeep adventures around Las Vegas and Southern Utah, reading, exercising, and serving in his church congregation.

Christopher Melton - Senior Vice President of Global Premium Account Management, Las Vegas Sands

Christopher Melton is senior vice president of Global Premium Account Management for Las Vegas Sands.  In his role, he oversees all gaming debt recovery efforts for the company and their integrated resort properties worldwide. Prior to his current role, Christopher held various positions in the legal and finance arena with Caesars Entertainment and Wynn Resorts.

Although his focus is centered around finance, Christopher finds his true passion in the leadership aspects of his role believing that all individuals have the potential to achieve greatness.

Christopher completed his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Western Governors University.  He currently serves on the board of the Sunrise Children’s Foundation.  In his free time, Christopher enjoys spending time with his partner, Marc, and their fur-kids Paxton and Penny.  He also enjoys traveling and relaxing in a good restaurant with his friends.

 

Bill Mullen - Senior Vice President, CalPortland Company

Originally from Southern California, Bill Mullen grew up in Texas where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. After graduating, Bill embarked on a 25-year career in the construction industry. He has held positions managing construction projects, sales, and operations. Bill’s current role is senior vice president for CalPortland Company, where he leads seven material divisions across five states and over 2,000 employees.

Bill enjoys his time outside of work with his wife, Reagan, and their two dogs, Ruby and Pepper. He also enjoys traveling to foreign countries and hobbies such as scuba diving and motorcycle riding. Bill is looking forward to growing long-lasting relationships with his fellow UNLV Executive MBA cohort members, faculty, and alumni.

Edward Nieves - Retail Sales Director, Anheuser Busch

Eddie received his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management at UNLV. While attending UNLV he worked for Caesars Entertainment as the overnight manager at the Flamingo. Post- graduation, Eddie joined Wynn Resorts as an assistant front office manager and was a member of the opening team of Encore Las Vegas. Shortly thereafter, he joined the food and beverage division of Wynn Resorts, holding positions as an F&B general manager and assistant director of beverage. It was his love for the beverage industry, that piqued his curiosity and desire to learn more about the industry. In 2015, Eddie joined Anheuser Busch and is currently the retail sales director for the state of Nevada.

When he is not working, Eddie enjoys family vacations, listening to music, and barbecuing. He is a firm believer in self-growth and loves a good competition. He is excited to be a part of this journey with UNLV and looks forward to completing the Executive MBA program, continuing his career in food and beverage, and being a valued member of the community.

Alexandra Nikolich - Chief of Staff, University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Alex Nikolich serves as the chief of staff, reporting to the vice president for UNLV Business Affairs. In her role, Alex provides high-level support for short-term and long-range projects that support the needs of the institution.

Over the last 20 years, she has developed expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and resource management within a university environment. In addition to fiduciary responsibilities, much of her past experiences revolve around leading administrative and managerial functions including staffing and human resource processes, development and assessment of short and long-term strategic plan(s) with various leadership teams, and implementation of strategies for continuous process improvement.

Alex’s specialized expertise in supporting growth and change management initiatives provides her with the skills and sensibilities to guide campus partners as UNLV continues to grow and adapt to the needs of its students and the local community.

A native of Sarajevo, Bosnia, Alex relocated to Las Vegas, with her family, in 1997. Alex enjoys traveling, running (traveling to run), and exploring the outdoors. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from UNLV in 2006, and her Executive MBA in 2022. Alex is looking forward to actively participating and supporting future Executive MBA cohort members, while maintaining relationships with fellow cohort #19 members at future beer festivals, happy hours, and wine tastings.

Keith Robertson - Sales Engineer - Juniper Networks

Keith Robertson

A native of Las Vegas, Keith Robertson currently works as a Sales Engineer for Juniper Networks – the industry leader in AI Networking. Part technologist, part sales; Keith is primarily responsible for consulting with businesses in the Southwest to solve technical challenges and streamline network and security operations through identifying the business need and proposing technical solutions.

Keith earned a Bachelor of Science from Western Governors University in Network Operations and Security and holds 18 technical, industry best practice, and project management certifications. He’s worked in various business verticals such as technical consulting, tradeshow and events, and quick-service restaurants. He’s passionate about business and aims to grow both personally and professionally throughout his Cohort experience.

Keith enjoys all things outdoors in his free time, including backpacking, fly fishing, trail running, and archery. When not embarking on the next adventure, he enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife Lynnsay, who encourages him to step out of his comfort zone and dance a little.

Jennifer Salgado - Founder, Fix My Credit NV

Since then, she has worked at a local CPA firm and was in the banking industry for over 20 years. Her niche was working as a controller in community banks that focused on commercial clients. Jennifer’s experience entails implementing accounting systems, reorganizing accounting departments, financial institution regulatory reporting, and implementing internal accounting controls.

Susil Sivaraman, MD, FACP - Chief Hospitalist and Director of Acute Medicine Education, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Southern Nevada Healthcare Systems

Dr. Susil Sivaraman is currently the chief hospitalist and director of acute medicine education at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Southern Nevada Healthcare Systems. He supervises the internal medicine physicians at the Las Vegas VA. He is also responsible for the education and coordination of educational activities of internal medicine residents, medical students (MD and DO), as well as physician assistant students from Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, Sunrise GME (Mountain View Hospital), and Touro University.

Susil loves spontaneous trips to cities around the world, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures. He also enjoys cooking and trying new cuisines. He is very passionate about leadership and personal development. This passion is what led him to join the Executive MBA program. He hopes to gain the knowledge and skills from the program to be a better leader and contribute more to society.

Jennifer Turner - Senior Vice President of Business Banking Sales, Nevada State Bank

Jennifer Turner was born and raised in Las Vegas. She is a graduate from UNLV’s Lee Business School where she earned her bachelor degree in Finance in 2020. Jennifer started her career in banking as a teller, looking to build a career right out of school. She has over two decades of experience in the banking industry and is the Senior Vice President of Retail Business Banking Sales for Nevada State Bank. In her position, Jennifer manages a team of bankers who specialize in lending to small business owners while providing knowledge and expertise. 

In her free time, Jennifer is a Disney enthusiast where she plans her weekends to visit Disneyland whenever she can. During the holiday season, Jennifer enjoys baking and watching movies with her family. When she isn’t at Disneyland or baking cookies, Jennifer enjoys walking in her neighborhood.

Karla Vazquez - Board Member, Incorp Services, Inc.

Karla Vazquez served as president at Incorp Services, Inc. and currently serves as a board member at this and other organizations. Incorp Services, Inc. is a premier registered agent and business filing organization that has provided Karla with a diverse background in business formation, licensing, and compliance in various industries. In her 16 years with Incorp, she played an essential role in expanding to all 50 states, including Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. Her experience as an executive leader has facilitated a unique platform with a creative edge to innovate, automate, and simplify running a business. Karla also has experience in USCIS requirements for EB-5 Visa projects and minimal construction, design, and project management areas, as a COO of an EB5-Visa regional center. Through her professional experiences, she has developed and maintained relationships with other associations, industry leaders, and government officials.

Karla enjoys traveling and exploring the great outdoors. On the weekends you can find her on the fields cheering at her boys’ soccer or football games.

Germain Williamson - Social Service Coordinator, State of Nevada, Department of Aging and Disability Services

Germain was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Social and Criminal Justice from The University of Arizona Global Campus. In 2001, Germain enlisted into the United States Army Reserve as a Financial Management Specialist, and during his eight years in uniform, he had the opportunity to serve in several roles which include earning a spot as a member of the elite Army Counter-Terrorism Task Force assembled shortly after September 11, 2001.

After leaving the military in 2009, Germain decided to dedicate himself to his passion of service to others and began working with the Las Vegas homeless veteran community, It was here where he helped veteran military members who struggled with homelessness and financial insecurity enter into permanent housing, obtain gainful employment and receive the appropriate mental health supports needed. Since then, he has filled multiple roles within the Las Vegas community from Case Manager to Director of Programs, and currently serves in a role that oversees state-funded services that are provided to individuals born with developmental disabilities.

Germain is in constant pursuit of self-growth and becoming better with each experience life has to offer. He is a seeker of knowledge which has led him to return to the university to obtain his Executive MBA. He hopes to utilize the knowledge gained to further fuel his passion for serving others.

Tyler Wistisen - Captain, ARNG 1-221 Cavalry

Originally from Casper, Wyoming, Tyler Wistisen moved to Las Vegas to compete with UNLV’s Men’s Swimming and Diving Team. Tyler is a UNLV alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Planning. Upon completing his undergraduate coursework, Tyler attended OCS at the Alabama Military Academy to commission as a United States Army infantry officer.

While serving in the Nevada Army National Guard, Tyler also worked full-time in the professional services field of architecture and design in Las Vegas. Tyler’s experience with architectural design and project management includes high-end custom residential homes, public parks, civic spaces, institutional gardens, elementary schools, business centers, retail spaces, and hospitality venues.

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic shifted opportunities for Tyler. In March of 2020, Tyler was ordered to active duty to assist the state of Nevada in its response to the pandemic. While acting in the operation and planning cell for six months, Tyler significantly contributed to his unit accomplishing the state's mission of distributing 1,711,489 meals to school children, distributing 470,810 pounds of PPE to local care facilities, cleaning of three senior living centers, facilitating rural community-based testing in Southern Nevada, and assisting eight testing centers in Las Vegas.

In October of 2020, Tyler was offered the opportunity to pursue his military passion with a full- time public service position with the Nevada Army National Guard. Tyler is currently the SQDN S4 logistics and sustainment officer with the 1st Squadron 221st Cavalry. Tyler is looking forward to the opportunities this position has to offer and hopes to continue serving the State of Nevada and the Las Vegas community.

When not working, Tyler spends his time with his wife and friends. When the weather is nice, Tyler is often out either on a run or bike ride along the Red Rock scenic loop.
