We are delighted to share the Week Eighteen edition of UNLV's Office of Government and Community Engagement e-News with you!

Each week during the Legislative Session, we published this e-News in order to keep our many communities informed about legislative activity that has taken place during the past week, as well as what to look forward to in the week ahead. While the regular Session came to an end yesterday, the Governor has indicated his intent to call a Special Session in order to address items that were not resolved prior to the legislative deadline mandated by Nevada law. This edition of the e-News reflects activity from the final days of the regular Session. We will keep you posted of any outcomes from the Special Session that relate to UNLV, if applicable.

Note, UNLV’s advocacy efforts will not end with the end of the Session; we look forward to continuing our work with our local, state, and federal elected officials to further advance higher education initiatives on an ongoing basis.
