As you may know, the U.S. Department of Education launched a new and more efficient Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2024-25 academic year. The department has communicated delays in processing FAFSA results.

Many students are experiencing difficulty while completing and submitting the form and encountering technical issues along the way. If this is the case for you, please don't worry, and just keep trying to submit.

For those who have successfully submitted their FAFSA, no further action is required at this time. However, if you have yet to submit it, we encourage you to complete the application as soon as possible.

To begin completing the FAFSA, log in with your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID. When submitting, remember to include UNLV's school code 002569 to prevent any processing delays. There are no income restrictions to be considered for various types of federal student aid. Several factors beyond income determine eligibility.

Students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA by April 15. Early submission is encouraged since institutional aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis while funds are available.
