You devoted several years to your education at the Lee Business School. Make the most of that investment by staying involved. Here are some ways we invite you to be engaged with the business school and UNLV.

  • Your gift will continue to strengthen the Lee Business School students, faculty and programs that help prepare our graduates to be future business leaders.

  • The board is comprised of Lee Business School alumni who are dedicated to staying involved with the university, giving back and supporting current students. Applications are accepted at any time.   • The office works with the business community to create employment opportunities for students and alumni.

Alumni Association

The Lee Business School Alumni Chapter is the largest chapter at UNLV. The chapter is led by dedicated alumni who volunteer their time to help you stay connected with the university.

If you are a current member, thank you for your support. If you are not a member, we encourage you to get involved, become a member and connect with other successful alumni.

When you join the UNLV Alumni Association, choose business as your affiliation to automatically become a member of the Lee Business School Alumni Chapter.

Class Notes

Emigdio Sandoval

Emigdio Sandoval, '93 BS Business Administration, retired from the Air Force as master sergeant in 1995. He was accepted in 1996 to be a director of Tonopah Test Range of Nye County, Logistical Nevada resident services of Department of Energy. He has worked with sub contractors for Nellis Air Force Base. He is married to Alma Sandoval and has two children. Della Sandoval majored in nursing in 2023 and Joshua Sandoval majored in aviation and was employed by United Airlines as a pilot in 2022. Emigdio Sandoval was diagnosed with having a brain tumor and was moved to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, in 2014. A recurrence of brain tumors in 2019 forced him to take a six weeks of proton radiation. This put him on VA Disability and Social Security Disability in 2020. In January 2024, his history of exposure to downwind radiation from the atomic and nuclear weapons from the test range at Nellis and USAF 4477th and 4450th group put him in reserve research by University of Texas. He is a member of the Invisible Enemy group and this year, will be filmed by 60 Minutes about radiation exposure. He is proud to be a veteran from the Cold War era and educated by UNLV. He was born in Dimmitt, Texas, and became a Nevada resident in 1987.

Phil Ralston

Phil Ralston, '84 BS Accounting, is president of American Nevada Company. He recently joined the board of directors for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. He got involved with the foundation to support a friend's daughter who was diagnosed with cancer. He has since become one of the leading Las Vegas fundraisers. As a St. Baldrick’s volunteer "shavee" since 2008, he has raised more than $309,000 for lifesaving childhood cancer research and his team, Bald by Design, has raised an additional $516,000 to help conquer childhood cancers. Ralston has challenged his team to raise $174,000 next year — its largest goal to date — to surpass $1 million raised for St. Baldrick’s 20th anniversary.
