    Meet the Charter Class! As our charter class prepares for graduation on May 7, 2021, we celebrate their many contributions to the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV and the Las Vegas community. These pioneers were among the 909 applicants and 293 who received interviews, who were finally selected, and accepted admission to UNLV. As members of the charter class, these individuals have been instrumental in our journey to full accreditation which was announced on February 19, 2021.

  • Welcome Future Doctors! Introducing the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Class of 2027

    The class of 2027 is full of exciting firsts in UNLV history. The class is the largest in @unlvmedicine's history. Of the 66 students, 30 are male and 36 are female, 32% come from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine, 28% are first-generation college students, and four are veterans.     The White Coat Ceremony marks the transition of a medical student from the classroom to the clinic and the hospital bedside. The white coat is a symbol of that transition. The coating of the students by their clinical faculty affirms that the student will continue to put the interests of the patient first.   • Win For Nevada: UNLV Medical Students Get Matched to Residency Programs

    The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV celebrated the class of 2024 matches and welcomed 87 residents to their graduate medical education programs. This year, 57% of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine’s class of 2024 are remaining in Nevada for at least their first year of graduate medical education (GME). The school is making steady progress on its mission to serve as a transformational force for improving health care in Nevada. UNLV is extremely happy to welcome 87 (27 from Nevada) residents who matched with our residency programs this Match Day!
