Our goal is to connect students with the campus community, improving and promoting mental health, reducing stigma, and breaking down social isolation. Remember that you’re a UNLV student forever and your community cares about you.
Recognizing Signs of Distress
Unsure how to help a friend in distress?
You can make a difference. Learn about signs of distress, have a conversation, and make a referral.
You may be faced with new experiences both in and out of the classroom that can feel overwhelming! The UNLV Wellness Zone and Student Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) works together to offer FREE workshops throughout the week addressing a variety of topics like:
Stress Management 101
Coping With Distress
Becoming an Adaptive Perfectionist
Cultivating Resilience through Mindfulness
All workshops are available on a drop-in basis and no registration is required! Be sure to follow us on social media or check out our events feed to find out when our next workshop will be held.
The UNLV Wellness Zone staff has a variety of 60-minute presentations for your classroom or student group that address loneliness and getting connected on campus.
