Off-Campus Housing

UNLV is proud to be comprised of a very diverse student body. Many students live on campus, most notably traditional first year students who attend from outside of Clark County, Nev.

For students who are married, have families, or who otherwise choose to live off campus, there are several options and considerations in creating the best experience for you during your time away from campus. Looking for a place to live, signing a lease or dealing with roommates can be a new experience for many students and we want to provide tools to make the experience an easier one. The Division of Student Affairs aims to provide information and resources to assist UNLV students moving or living off campus to have a successful transition and integration into the Las Vegas community.

Please be advised that while this information is provided to assist students, UNLV does not work with individual students/tenants on a one-on-one basis to place them in housing. We encourage students/tenants to do their own thorough research into each property in order to find the best housing option for their particular needs. Generally, once a lease is signed, the student/tenant assumes full responsibility for location, condition, and contractual terms of the off-campus rental.

Private housing is readily available around the university and the larger Las Vegas area. Upper class students, graduate students, married students and all parents may be interested to use the following websites to find more information:

UNLV First-Year Housing Requirement

If you are a UNLV freshman coming from a high school outside of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City or Pahrump, and you are taking six or more credits, the University requires that you live on campus in a UNLV housing facility during your first year. Visit the housing website for more information.

Residential Housing Resources

The Off-Campus Housing site will offer apartment search engine resources for residential housing. This listing is maintained in alphabetical order and is solely comprised of search engines designed to assist you in locating apartments (not individual homeowners or specific apartment complexes).
