Services & Programs

Welcome to a range of distinctive programs and services tailored for UNLV students:

Programs

  • International Welcome Lunch - Commencing on the first Friday of each semester, the International Welcome Lunch is a special event designed to warmly embrace both new and returning international students. This provides a unique opportunity for students to share a meal, forge connections with the APIME & International Programs team, SDSJ at large, and foster new friendships with fellow UNLV students.
  • International Education Week - Aligned with the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Education's national initiative, International Education Week unfolds every November, just before the Thanksgiving holiday. The week serves as a celebration of the enriching contributions brought by international students and scholars to U.S. universities. It also promotes study abroad opportunities and cultivates a culture of global exchange among domestic students. The week's calendar features globally-focused events, including the grand 5th Annual Parade of Flags, SDSJ's flagship event celebrating UNLV's vibrant international student community.

Services

  • Flags for Events - A collaborative endeavor between The Office of Student Diversity Programs and Student Union Event Services (SUES), Flags for Events offers the opportunity to showcase the flag(s) of specific countries at your event. Simply request the desired flag(s) when completing the Space Reservation form on SUES’ website, and a dedicated team member will guide your group through the process. (Please note that this service is temporarily offline for the 2020-2021 academic year, with reinstatement contingent upon SDSJ's physical reopening after the pandemic.)
