Leadership Development and Engagement Certificate

The Leadership Development and Engagement (LDE) certificate helps undergraduate students enhance their leadership skills in their discipline and community. Students analyze issues that play out in our communities and organizations such as power dynamics, the pursuit of social justice, and how identity influences leadership and communication. The certificate supplements degree programs to support the growth of socially responsible leaders for the global community.

All undergraduate students and community members are welcome to enroll in the 200 level classes without pursuing the certificate. This certificate is an initiative of Student Affairs including program development, instruction and administration.  The academic home for LDE is the College of Education.

The LDE certificate can benefit any major of study by heightening awareness and developing leadership skills. Join LDE today!

All LDE classes are held in the Center for Social Justice.

The LCE Minor requires 12 of the offered 18 credits, including two required courses and two elective courses. Our classes are listed on this page.
