Greek Community

The four governing councils that oversee the operations of the individual Greek chapters and work closely with the university to promote the ideals of fraternity and sorority membership are:

Las Vegas Fraternity Association

The Las Vegas Fraternity Association (LVFA) is the governing council for six men's fraternities at UNLV. These chapters share the common interests of brotherhood, leadership, academics, and philanthropy/service.

The purpose of the Las Vegas Fraternity Association is to promote opportunities for further development, expansion, and improvement of fraternity life and to support the efforts of its chapters in the pursuit of these improvements.

Multicultural Greek Council

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the governing council for multicultural fraternities and sororities at UNLV. MGC consists of four fraternities and six sororities, and currently encompasses the following cultures: Asian American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Arab, Latino/a, and Multicultural.

The Multicultural Greek Council's purpose is to create and maintain high standards in the lives of fraternities and sororities by unifying organizations; promoting higher education; providing community services; and serving as a liaison among the multicultural Greek chapters, the university student body, and administration.

National Pan-Hellenic Council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing organization for the nine historically African-American international Greek-lettered fraternities and sororities. These nine NPHC organizations are often referred to as the "Divine Nine".

The National Pan-Hellenic Council creates and maintains high standards in the life of fraternities and sororities by coordinating and developing community service projects, educational programming, and the promotion of student leadership.

Panhellenic Council

The Panhellenic Council (PHC) is the governing body for the six (inter)national women's sororities at UNLV. Each organization is a member of the larger umbrella organization, the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).

The purpose of the Panhellenic Council at UNLV is to develop and maintain sorority life and inter-sorority relations at a high level of accomplishment.
