The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Programs and its programs, units, and initiatives support the core education mission of UNLV. It supports student achievement through general education, program improvement through program and curricula review plus academic course and degree assessment, and the university's regional accreditation.
UNLV's Top Tier goal of increasing the student graduation rate to 50% by 2025 is championed by the Retention, Progression, and Completion and the Enrollment Management initiatives in many of the units.
The office serves as a member of the Provost's leadership team and provides strategic input, advice, and support to the Provost. It also has primary responsibility for new programs and program changes which position the university to competitively compete for the best students.
