The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Programs and its programs, units, and initiatives support the core education mission of UNLV. It supports student achievement through general education, program improvement through program and curricula review plus academic course and degree assessment, and the university's regional accreditation.
It supports student achievement though academic assessment; program review; academic degree and unit implementation and change processes; discipline and the university’s regional accreditation; education materials accessibility; and state authorization reciprocity agreements (SARA).
The office serves as a member of the Provost's leadership team and provides strategic input, advice, and support to the Provost. It also has primary responsibility for new programs and program changes which position the university to competitively compete for the best students.
