Wendy S. Woodall

Professor of Clinical Sciences and Co-Associate Dean for Clinical Services

Biography

Dr. Wendy Woodall, professor-in-residence, joined the UNLV School of Dental Medicine Clinical Sciences department during summer 2004 and teaches clinical, restorative, and grand rounds courses within the undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Dr. Woodall’s research focuses on clinical correlations between cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, and dental findings. She also has an interest in educational effectiveness, specifically resilience for faculty wellness and performance standardization.

Dr. Woodall earned her BASS degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, TX, and her doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Woodall earned a fellowship and mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry, a fellowship with International College of Oral Implantologists, was inducted as a fellow to the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the American College of Dentists, and elected as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. 

She is active in several educational and dentistry organizations, serves in dental accreditation, licensure testing, and assists with the school’s community service clinics. Dr. Woodall has been invited to review national and international dental clinical curriculums.
