I am an anthropologist broadly interested in exploring how ecology impacts human growth and development, and I am generally interested in exploring how patterns of human growth can be disrupted by malnutrition, pathogen load, environmental stress, and inequitable access to resources. Currently, my research focuses on how a changing ecological environment has impacted the diet, growth, development, and behavior of Hadza forager children. While my research has previously relied on quantitative methods, my future research will utilize mixed-methods to generate a holistic understanding of the ecological/political factors impacting Hadza health.
