Biography

Seval Yildirim joins UNLV from California State University San Bernardino, where she served as the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and Development and Co-Chief Diversity Officer. Prior to CSUSB, Vice President Yildirim served as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School, Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley School of Law, Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Professor at Whittier College School of Law, Visiting Associate Professor at Villanova University School of Law and Visiting Scholar at New York University.

Vice President Yildirim brings with her extensive administrative experience in higher education, including in the areas of recruitment and retention of students and faculty of color, high school to law school pipelines, and inclusive curriculum. Vice President Yildirim's scholarship focuses on secularism, religion and state relations and individual rights in liberal democracies. In addition to her work in higher education, Vice President Yildirim has also served as pro bono counsel and legal consultant on various individual rights cases across the United States.

Vice President Yildirim holds a J.D. and LL.M. from New York University School of Law, an M.A. in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University and a B.A. from Randolph-Macon Woman's College.
