Dr. Sarah Tanford is a professor in the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. She has a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in social psychology. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industries to the program. Her experience includes management positions in business strategy and corporate planning at Harrah’s Entertainment, as well as travel distribution marketing at Sabre. Dr. Tanford teaches the capstone strategic management class and graduate-level research methods. She is a two-time fellow of the Hotel College Faculty Institute for Curriculum Design. Her research areas include consumer behavior, hospitality marketing, customer loyalty, gaming, and customer reviews. She has more than thirty research publications in top hospitality journals. Dr. Tanford is an Associate Editor of the UNLV Gaming Research & Review Journal and serves on the editorial board of Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Research and Journal of Travel Research. She is a member of the UNLV Social-Behavioral Institutional Review Board.
