Dr. Samet Albayrak, an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the UNLV School of Medicine, has a particular interest in high-risk obstetric pregnancies, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic surgery.
A native of Turkey, he earned his medical degree from the University of Istanbul and completed his residency training at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He enjoys teaching medical students and residents.
While at Wayne State in 2019, he received the Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, a National Faculty Award, and a Clinical Attending of the Year Award.
His research interests include preterm labor, cerebral palsy and fertility preservation. His research work has been published in peer-reviewed publications that include Cancer Medicine and the International Journal Gynecology Obstetrics.
