Sally Hamilton has over 25 years’ experience in higher education specifically in research administration at UNLV. Hamilton received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UNLV and completed her certification in research administration (CRA) through the Society of Research Administrators. She is responsible for the day-to- day management of pre- award services in the Office of Sponsored Programs, including personnel management and internal operations. She is responsible for the activities of the pre-award team. She shares her valued experience with her team as she informs, educates, advises, supports, and encourages their efforts to support faculty in their research endeavors. Hamilton is also responsible for the management of proposal review, submission, and all aspects of award negotiations for the campus community. Under the guidance of the executive director, she contributes to the development of research policies and procedures as they relate to sponsored programs administration. Hamilton also creates ad hoc reports on sponsored programs activity, which provide insight on research trends and serve as useful tools in strategic planning.
