Richard Gardner joined the UNLV faculty in 2015 as an Assistant Professor in the Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Department. He received his Ph.D. in Management from Texas A&M University, a Master in Public Administration and Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University. Previous to joining the Lee Business School he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University.
Dr. Gardner’s research focuses on the socialization and onboarding experience of newcomers, leadership, dysfunctional behaviors, negative interpersonal and organizational relationships, and business ethics. His research has been published in various journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Journal of Business Ethics. He currently teaches courses on Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Negotiations. Prior to his academic career he worked in Human Resources at Intermountain Healthcare.
