Project Manager, Nevada SBDC
Mike Bindrup is a true local. Having been born and raised in Las Vegas, he is a graduate of Valley High School and studied Communications during his undergraduate work at UNLV. He holds a Masters in Business Administration in Global Management degree from the Thunderbird, School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona.
With over 18 years of Marketing Communications experience, Bindrup has worked in advertising, publishing, and interactive media. He was the Managing Partner of a local advertising agency that he founded as a UNLV student.
Bindrup currently is a Program Manager for the UNLV Office of Economic Development where he oversees the Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program. As a Business Development Advisor for the Nevada SBDC, he has counseled over a thousand small business owners on management issues and delivers entrepreneurial training courses to the Southern Nevada business community.
He has also been an Adjunct Faculty member at UNLV, the Art Institute of Las Vegas and Sanford Brown College where he has taught courses in entrepreneurship, marketing, advertising design, and interactive media.
Bindrup is a citizen of the world. He has lived and worked in Chile, Mexico, France, and Switzerland. He spends his spare time in the study of foreign languages, music, and culture. He has a great tenor voice and loves to play electric guitar. He speaks fluent Spanish and is enjoying learning French and Italian.
