Professor Shoemaker (Ph.D., Texas A&M University) teaches Survey of Communication and other communication courses. In Spring 2014 she will also be teaching GSC 300, the second year seminar course for the College of Urban Affairs, which focuses on civic engagement in an urban environment. Her research interests include intercultural communication, social identity and conflict management/resolution.
