Mark Stein joined the Office of Sponsored Programs after a 15-year career in the gaming industry. He worked as an Accounting Manager in multiple casino properties with 11 years at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nevada. Stein has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from UNLV with an emphasis in accounting. His current duties include managing sponsored program accounts from setup to close-out, monitoring fiscal activity, assisting faculty and staff with management of their grants, producing invoices and financial reports, assisting with audit management and year-end close, compiling and analyzing data for specialized reports, and assisting with the follow-up on outstanding receivables.
