Biography

I am an anthropology doctoral student interested in Southwestern archaeology, cognitive archaeology, human-environmental relationships, and experimental archaeology.  As an undergraduate at UNLV, I double-majored in psychology and anthropology and minored in neuroscience. After attending a field school with Dr. Karen Harry in 2019, I became interested in archaeology and decided to pursue a doctoral degree at UNLV under her mentorship. Currently, I am working on a publishable manuscript for an experimental project that I developed as an undergraduate—the experimental project investigated Ancestral Puebloan’s use of limestone by testing its efficacy on deer-hide processing. I am also a Graduate Assistant for the Desert Research Institute, where I assist with cultural resource management tasks. I am passionate about understanding the Ancient Puebloan people’s behavior, cognition, and environmental interaction. My goal is to improve our understanding of the life, culture, and cognition of Ancient Puebloan people.
