Laura Culley, MD has more than 25 years of experience as a board-certified physician in internal medicine, serving in leadership positions with two medical practices in New York City and Las Vegas.
Dr. Culley previously served as medical director of Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada. For nearly 30 years, she operated a private practice in New York City and then Las Vegas. Dr. Culley is a recipient of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce “Outstanding Woman of Achievement” award in healthcare, and she is past president of the Nevada Society of Women Physicians. Most recently, Dr. Culley was the chief medical officer for FirstMed Health and Wellness Center, a large federally funded community healthcare center in Las Vegas. She regularly saw patients and managed clinical care and policy development.
Dr. Culley completed her medical education at the University Hospital, the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Public Health program at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
As associate dean for health policy and community affairs, Dr. Culley will help connect our students with community stakeholders, clinics, and agencies.
