Biography

Landon is a Senior Business Development Manager for Freeman in Las Vegas, the world’s largest producers of live events, trade shows and conventions. In his role, he engages clients, builds relationships and negotiates agreements with trade associations and meeting planners to enhance meeting experiences. He serves on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Exhibitions and Events and is very involved with advocacy for the events industry. One of Landon’s most memorable experiences with Freeman was being awarded the contract to produce the 2016 Presidential Debate at UNLV.

Originally from Michigan, Landon earned his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Saginaw Valley State University. In 2011, he relocated to Las Vegas to pursue his M.S. in Hospitality Administration from UNLV, where he also served as a Graduate Assistant. As a Graduate Assistant, he assisted with classroom instruction for a variety of courses, including World Culture and Cuisine and Festival and Event Management. He also assisted with research projects Catersource, the Bar and Nightclub Show and UNLVino. Landon was one of three instructors for the 2012 pilot program of the Hospitality College’s First Year Seminar, which helped freshman students acclimate to college life.
