Kristin M. Baca
Assistant Professor in Residence of Clinical Sciences
Dr. Kristin Baca, assistant professor-in-residence, joined the School of Dental Medicine during 2013 as a part-time instructor and became full-time during fall of 2015. She teaches operative dentistry in the Simulation Laboratory and is the director of screening.
A Las Vegas native, Dr. Baca earned her bachelor’s in biology and chemistry and her doctor of dental medicine at UNLV, and is currently pursuing her master’s in the university’s Executive Master of Health Care Administration program.
During her time as a dental student, she organized a free dental clinic dedicated to victims of domestic violence. She now serves as faculty advisor to the clinic, which occurs 10 times each year. During 2018, she received the Team Leader of the Year Award from that year’s doctor of dental medicine graduating class.
In addition to her scheduled duties, Dr. Baca provides one-on-one continuing education remediation for dental boards in six states.
