
Kira Tran
Communications Manager
Biography
Kira Tran earned a B.S. in public health in 2018 and is pursuing a Masters of Public Health at the UNLV School of Public Health with a concentration in social and behavioral health. Her research interests include health literacy and HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) knowledge, behaviors, attitudes, and intentions in Asian American (AA) and Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander (NHOPI). She has experience mentoring student researchers through two NIH-funded programs and brings her passion for increasing undergraduate student involvement in research to the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR). As the Communications Manager for OUR, Tran develops marketing campaigns for the office and showcases the impactful undergraduate research activities at UNLV. Outside of UNLV, you can find Kira in Red Rocks working on her latest bouldering project, exploring taco shops in Southern California, or at the park with her dogs, Dewey and Rey.
