Kayleen Gonzaga is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Philosophy: Law & Justice Concentration. Outside of UNLV, Kayleen has done several things for her community including volunteering for an LQBTQIA+ youth nonprofit, text/phone banking for voter turnout during elections, and working with U.S. PIRG in passing a Student Loan Borrowers’ Bill of Rights here in the Nevada Legislature. In the future, Kayleen plans to attend law school and use her knowledge to help be a powerful voice to underserved communities.

Currently, she serves as the Associate Director of Academic Engagement within CSUN’s new Student Engagement Department. She is responsible for creating and maintaining resources to aid undergraduate students during their academic careers at UNLV. This could be establishing mentorship programs, increasing visibility to undergraduate research opportunities, hosting college-related workshops, and answering any questions in regards to all things academic related.
