Biography

Jerlyn Malasig is a graduate student in the clinical mental health counseling program, pursuing a career in the mental health field in hopes of uplifting society’s
collective mental well-being and overall quality of life. She wants to play a part in helping individuals cultivate a healthier mindset, one in which leads to a more fulfilling and happy life.

Jerlyn is originally from Maui, Hawaii but considers herself to be an honorary Las Vegas native since she has lived here for 16 years. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington in Seattle and obtained her second bachelor’s degree in psychology from UNLV. Having been an undergraduate student twice, she understands the challenges that are inherent in higher learning and have applied helpful strategies to maximize her academic experience.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being in nature, and experiencing different cultures. Jerlyn is also an advocate of self-care and have incorporated meditation into her daily routine for the past three years. This has provided her with immense benefits – especially during finals week.
