Biography

Jocelyn K. Jensen has taught in the School of Music at the UNLV since 1992 when she became the founding director of the UNLV Women's Chorus. She also conducts the Las Vegas Master Singers, an ensemble consisting of professional and semi-professional vocalists from throughout the Las Vegas Valley. The Master Singers have endowed the Susan Johnson Choral Scholarship at UNLV for outstanding collegiate singers.

Jensen teaches courses in sight singing, harmony, and ear training at UNLV. She adjudicates choral festivals and conducts All-State and Honor choirs throughout the United States and Canada.

She has studied conducting with renowned conductor and arranger, Frank Pooler and has served on the prestigious team of adjudicators for the Heritage Festival of Gold in both New York City and San Francisco.

She has been married for 47 years to Ronald B. Jensen, a painter, weaver, and sculptor. They have one son, Rustin.
