Jessica “Jess” Ogens has called Las Vegas home for most of her life. She is always planning her next adventure and has been fortunate to travel the world several times, including studying abroad with UNLV’s own international program, USAC. Jess is a first generation college student and earned her BA in Sociology from UNLV, where she plans to complete her Master's as well. Prior to her advising role, she held a career in training and hospitality management for a luxury-oriented, Five Diamond resort & spa. It was during her undergrad that she realized her passion for academia and dedicated herself to becoming part of the UNLV advising team ever since. Jess believes Friends is the best sitcom, that Tom Hanks is America’s true sweetheart, and that if you keep your glass half full in life you'll never go thirsty.
