Jeff Detrick was born in Bad Tolz, Germany and raised in various locales due to his father and mother’s military service. He calls Las Vegas his adopted home and was living here when he left for the Army in 1999. He returned to Las Vegas in 2012 upon his completion of his military service and his acceptance to UNLV. While completing his Bachelors in Psychology Jeff was the president of the Rebel Vets student organization and was the first Team Leader for the P.A.V.E Program (Peer Advisors for Veterans Education) until his graduation in 2016. Jeff currently works as an Academic Counselor for the Education Opportunity Center at UNLV CAEO’s The Center where he assists adults wanting to attend college/vocational school. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Administration at UNLV.

Jeff is involved with various veteran initiatives in the valley to include being a Board Member for the Governor’s Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery Advisory Committee. He enjoys hiking, photography, and spending time with his wife Elizabeth and their dog Chuck.
