George Pales, Ph.D., R.T. (R)(MR)(T)

Biography

Assistant Professor George Pales joined the Radiography Program during fall 1995 and teaches radiographic physics, advanced technique, patient care in medical imaging and radiation therapy, clinical education and independent study.

Pales earned his M.Ed. in Adult Education from the joint combined Utah State and Weber State University Program in 1980 and his Ph. D. from the University of Wisconsin Lacrosse.  He is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, The Association of Collegiate Educators in Radiologic Technology. He received the Allied Health Sciences Distinguished Service Award for 2013 and the UNLV Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award for 2016.

He is a retired hospital administrator from the U.S. Air Force where he served 25 years.
