Math Bridge Specialist

Biography

Gabbi earned her Bachelor's Degree from UCLA in Sociology and Computing with a Minor in Chicano Studies and began her professional career as a research analyst for a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles, focusing her research on minority demographics and developing operational plans to bring equitable resources to her community. She received her Master’s of Education in Secondary Mathematics here at UNLV and previously taught mathematics in the Clark County School District.

She is currently the Math Bridge Specialist for the Academic Success Center (ASC) and works in conjunction with other ASC staff members to bring the Math Bridge program to fruition. She is a first-generation Latinx college graduate and is passionate about ensuring an equitable education for all students.

She is originally from San Bernardino, California but is excited to call Las Vegas home.
