Biography
Dolores Parrish, a nationally certified American Sign Language/English Interpreter, coordinates and provides interpreting services for deaf/hard-of-hearing students and residents in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Graduate Medical Education Program.
Throughout her 25-year career, she has held positions in vocational rehabilitation, community and educational interpreting, dedicated executive interpreting, video relay services, and interpreter education and mentoring. With specialized training in medical terminology, anatomy, pathology, and medical interpreting discourse, Parrish’s focus has been on medical interpreting for more than 10 years.
Parrish, the lead sign language interpreter in the UNLV GME Program, holds a bachelor of arts in sign language studies from Madonna University and a master of science in interpreting pedagogy from the University of North Florida.
